Birthday Beauty Wishes

29 March 2014

Since it's y birthday soon and I'm a mess when it comes to writing things down to know what I wat, I decided this year since I want sooo much I'd share them with you. I know I won't get half the stuff I'm asking for since I'm asking for so much, but at least this year I know what I want!:)

Beauty
1) L'Oreal #txt Volume Supersizing Spray & #txt Wave Creating Spray
These are both £3.79 and I've heard so many good reviews about them. I'm in need of a new sea salt spray, I'm not sure if this is one but it creates waves which is what I want and I read post once ( I was going to link you to the post but I'll just link you to her blog ). Together they just create the loveliest waves and voluminous hair!

2) Body Shop Bronzers
Obviously I don't want both (then again I wouldn't say no to having them both) but my friend uses the second one 'Brush on Bronze' which is £14 and it looks so great on her! It creates a lovely sun kissed look and really helps define her cheek bones. The first one in the picture I've also heard great thing about, it's called 'Baked to Last Bronzer' and is £16. I've never used a Body Shop bronzer but everybody says their products are great and I do need a new bronzer and like I said, they sound great! Also since they are rather pricey, what better time to ask for them than my birthday!

3) Tanya Burr Lips and Nails
Again with these, I don't need both I just couldn't choose! It was hard enough narrowing them all down to two, in all her vlogs each one look gorgeous. I've chosen the shades Chic and Aurora, I like the pinkish tone to Aurora but Chic seems easier to wear on a daily basis. Personally, I'm more of a lipstick girl, but lipsticks are all so bold and terrible on dry lips, so I/m trying out more lip glosses sine they are usually less bold than lipstick and easier to wear.

4) Eco Tools Blush Brush
As you may know, I love Eco tools brushes. I've got loads of RT brushes but no blush brush, so thought I should go for this, for more of a variety, plus it's cheaper than Real Technique and costs £7.99. These brushes are so soft and do the job perfectly :) well I've never tried this one, but I know from using them in the past.

5) Topshop Eyes Midnight Hour
I don't need more eye makeup, but I saw this and was oddly drawn to it! It's £6 and I like the mix of the two colours, but I think I have to see it in person to be sure I want it. I really should be moving away from such dark eye makeup since it is Summer soon, but like I said, I'm oddly drawn to this! And it's not that expensive.

6) Soap and Glory Love at First Blush
I've seen loads of people use this and it looks so pretty! It costs £11 though which is a taad too expensive for a blush, but I have waned it for ages. Although now I know the price I'm not so sure.. I'm deciding between this one and this  but this is even more expensive, so who knows! I tried cream blushes for a while, but I just don't think they're right for me, so I'm sticking with pressed powder:)

7)Tanya Burr Lips and Nails
I really love these two shades which are Cream and Peaches and Bright and Early. I've heard great reviews about her nail varnishes and heard they last ages, which is a bonus! I like these because they're both so summery and I think Peaches and Cream will look great with a tan.

I was going to say more about other things I want for my birthday but I think this is enough for one post today! I might do a miscellaneous wants post as well, then again, whenever I say I'm going to do a post I rarely do...but we'll see! Do you guys have any make up recommendations? Especially a concealer recommendation; I'm running low and need to find a new one! Although I love Collections concealer it just doesn't suit my skin at all!

Pots & Things

26 March 2014

I don't know how many times I've mentioned it on my blog, but I seem to have a problem with storage in my room. I have too much stuff and don't know where to put anything and recently I brought  some stuff and thought hey why not show you guys. I' very fussy with my room and it has to be neat, even though it rarely is, and to keep it tidy everything needs a place. Unfortunately I'm not there yet but there's no point fussing over my current room as after the summer holidays I'm going to be moving into my sisters room which is much bigger and has more room for storage and everything and I want to make it so nice oooh I'm so excited!
I have a plan in my head what I want it to look like, it probably wont work though but oh well!

Back to the post; here are some little things I have in my room to try and keep some order.

I use two make up bags to hold my makeup; one is from Primark and the other is from Topshop. They are both good at containing my makeup and stopping it from cluttering my drawers, but I would prefer to have a drawer with a separator in it or something so I can see all my makeup and make it easier to choose what to use. I love it when makeup is set out like that; but at them moment I have no appropriate drawers so these are good. I separate my makeup into the separate bags by what I use on a daily basis and what I don't, but to be honest I use a mix of everything so that system doesn't really work!

In my Ikea pots I' pretty typical. I have two which I keep my makeup brushes and stationary in. I got them in light green and light pink because they go best with my room, but mainly because I like them best in these colours. My stationary one isn't really big enough for all of them but it's too cute not to use and I'm worried my makeup brushes one wont be big enough in a while due to my ever expanding make up brushes collection, but I will find a way for everything to fit!

To hold my fabulous array of white board pens I just use this old cup which I think I made ages ago. It's old but cute (kind of) and just has that kind of three year old arts and crafts party vibe thingy even though I' not sure if I made it myself or not...but it has my name on it so maybe! I don't know, but it's just a lil cup just the right size for my board pens.

I think I've mentioned this before but I also love this little box thingy I got for, I think, my birthday last year. I love the patterns on it and the inside is velvet and I just love everything about it except the clasp has always been a broken. Its such a cute little box and I love the mirror and detail on it. I use it to store some hair bands in and other random bits and bobs. I think it's off eBay and although I love it, it has always been fairly broken with a very delicate clasp and lid.

To store my lotions/moisturisers and nail varnishes in I just use two random boxes. One is a box which I got a Christmas present in years ago which I keep my nail varnishes in. Like with my makeup storage, I'd rather have them stored neater so I could all of my options, like on one of those stand things. However my nail varnish collection isn't very impressive, so for now this is good.  I want loooaaads of nail varnishes but I rarely wear nail varnish. However, when I do, I do seem to change it all the time so really there is a little reason to buy more.. To keep my moisturisers in I just use the Our Moment box from One Direction since it holds them all. I don't moisturise nearly as much as I need to, even though I do have quite a lot of lotions; none are particularly fancy but still a moisturiser is a moisturiser.

Finally the last thing I'm going to show you are these little pots I keep my earrings in. I've had the green one for ageeees, sine I first got my ears pierced I think or very close to that time and recently got the heart one. I love both of these, I love the pattern and designs and the mirrors and just love them both so much. I think the green one is from Menorca, but I'm pretty sure you can get them in England; definitely Camden. They're cheap and hold all my earrings perfectly. I split up my earring between them by sterling silver (which I call my baby earrings since all my sterling silver earrings are really old embarrassing ones like fairies and ladybirds..if you wear these I sure they look great I just don't like them personally on me) and the non sterling silver ones. This makes it easy because if I've had non sterling silver earrings in for too long they turn my ear green? I know it sounds odd, but it is very common, so I have to change the to sterling silver so having these two pots makes the process easy!:)

I don't know if I've already said it but THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH FOR 100 FOLLOWERS I love you all and to some that may not be many but I find it incredible that 111 people actually read my rambling on! Thank you all so much x

Some Films

17 March 2014

I feel like I should start saying something at the beginning of my posts...usually i just go so then witter on about whatever that post is about but I feel like I should give you a proper welcoming. Some people go 'Hello lovlies' and Louise (sprinkle of glitter) obviously goes 'Aloha Sprinklerinos!' and I feel like I should start welcoming you guys rather than diving straight in...but I have no idea what I'd say probably just like hey guys or something but I don't know. I just need to stop starting off with so!

Anyway, I thought I'd share with you guys some films that I love. Now I am a huge Disney/Pixar/animated film fan so it was tempting just to make a list full of them, but I restrained myself and only put two in. I have loads of favourite films and I can never choose which films are my favourites so I would just like to firstly say this is in no particular order and that I love tons of other films too, this is just what popped into my head when I was writing notes for it.

1) Coyote Ugly: My mum used to always bring up this film somehow, then one day me, my mum and sisters all sat down to watch it. This was around two years ago I think and let me tell you. I love it. It's kind of a chick flick and I wont give much away, but you know when you're with your friends and its like 'lets watch Wild Child' or 'Lets watch Mean Girls' even though we all know that everybody has seen each of these films a billion times. So next time, I recommend Coyote Ugly. Also it has an Australian guy in it, so who can resist!?

2) Prisoners: I went to go see Prisoners in the cinema a while ago and I think that it on On Demand now and probably on DVD. In these descriptions I'm not really writing about the films; it's just to help you decide what film to watch one day. Prisoners is more of a thriller and in no way is just a cute chick flick. Although it is quite long, you do not feel the time pass at all. It's tense and interesting and there is no time to look away. It is a little bit scary but more makes you think and get a bit scared rather than a full on horror film. Literally, the best way to describe it is thriller. However, there is blood and gore in it at a certain point and a few scenes which aren't very pleasant to watch; but it is such an interesting and intense film. It's one of those films where although you know what happened; you can watch again and again ((also Jake Gyllenhaal and Hugh Jackman are both in it and I don't know whether to be ashamed to admit that I love them both so much!? )) I feel like the film poster lets it down and makes it seem like some tacky film, but trust me. It's amazing.

3) Tangled: Yes I am talking about the Disney film, and if you haven't seen it then..go watch it! If you ask me my favourite Disney film it's so hard to choose because my absolute faves are Aladdin, Mulan, The Little Mermaid, The Lion King and really I could be here for ages! But with their most recent films, yes I love Frozen (I am a huge Disney fanatic) But Rapunzel is my number one. I don't know why I love her so much but I just do! I remember once I was off school because I was ill and I probably watched it three times that day. Whenever I don't know what to watch when I'm just lazing about on my laptop, I either go for Tangled or Rise Of The Guardians because I just love both so much! It's a bit sad because the other day I decided to watch Tangled because I hadn't watched it for ages and not only do I know all the words to all the songs, I also know the majority of the lines...

4) 50/50: I think ages ago I made a post about this film, but if you want to laugh and cry and just feel a whole roller coaster of emotions, then watch 50/50. I was laughing through my tears and it was just so good. It's a light hearted film which you have to watch properly once but then can easily put on in the back ground whilst your'e on you laptop or something. But just be warned; your emotions will be all over the place from this film.

5) Clueless: I feel like Clueless is one of those films which you just have to watch if you a re a girl. It's a chick flick and quite old, but I don't know, it's just such a cute lil film and perfect for a sleepover where you're at that part of the night where you need a film on in the background but don't have to pay much attention. It's one of those films you just have to see!

6) The Amazing Spider-Man: Really any super hero film. They're almost always good films and keep you interested throughout. I really liked Spider-Man and can't wait for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 to come out some time this year! Soon, I think...This, in case you couldn't tell, is less of a chick flick and more of a film that if you like superheroes, well, your really have no excuse for not watching.

7) How To Train Your Dragon: Okay so this is another cartoon, but is more of a boyish one I would say and to be honest I'm just recommending you guys some of my favourite films, there is so specific genre, so why not throw in some some cartoons and stuff! I love this film and awhh Toothless, the dragon, in this is so adorable! After watching this film you might just have a life long desire for a dragon which you can never fulfill, which sucks, but maan this is a cute lil film! Also number 2 for this is coming out this year, around summer I think? Which I'm also so excited about :) SO MANY FILMS ARE COMING OUT THIS YEAR I CANT CONTAIN MY EXCITEMENT
8) House At The End Of The Street: This is another kind of scary/thriller one, it's really intense and you have to pay attention to it. It's not one of those films that can just be in the background, you have to pay attention, but it is so good. I don't think it's as long as prisoners, but you do stay interested through out. Also Jennifer Lawrence is in it and not only are you lying to me, but you are also lying to yourself if you don't admit that you love her. She's just such a great actress and this whole film is fab, you've probably seen it but hey-ho why not recommend it anyway.

 9) The Last Song: I read the book before I saw the film of this and I loved the book so decided to watch the film. Jonathon Sparks wrote the book, and a lot of his books have been adapted into films and I love how none of them stray far from the book. It's kind of sad and happy and romantic. There are a lot of emotions but not as intense as the emotional roller coaster you experience from 50/50, but it does get sad and in the book I cried, in the film I cried so it's pretty safe to say it is sad. All his books/films are romantic and will make you cry at one part. You really can't go wrong with any of his work. They may get a bit boring on the middle to some people (well not The Last Song, but in Safe Haven, the film. I did get a bit bored, but not much) but are definitely worth watching.

10) Shutter Island: This is a film you can watch over and over again and never get tired of. Every time you interpret the ending in a different way and I love it. It is a thriller and the more times you watch it the more you pick out and ahh it's just amazing. I don;t really know how to describe it other than it really plays on your mind. It is a little bit scary but more causes you to think. A lot.

Sorry this is a bit of a different post, but I didn't know what to post so just thought why not! It's not even that I don't have post ideas, I just can't be bothered to snap the pics and edit them and etc etc. But I have had a really busy weekend which is when I usually post stuff, and I do have a few drafts but there is a reason they are drafts and not actual posts... Anyway on Saturday I went to an Indian festival with my friends and it was AMAZING, which I plan on telling you all about as soon as I get pictures! Maybe Ill go crazy and do a mid week post, oooh scanadlous! Probably not though..anyway, thanks for reading and I'll see you soon! Sorry for such a long gap between posts!x

Eco Tools Brush

9 March 2014

I have only ever used two brushes from the Eco Tools Range; the Domed Bronzer Brush and the foundation brush and I have loved them both.

They are both extremely soft and do the job you need, and it's great to you're using a product that is recycled and 100% cruelty free. They both clean well and no bristles come out.

I'm on their website at the moment and although I have all the makeup brushes I need, I want loads more from here, but alas I gave in to the Real Technique hype, but I think I need to buy more Eco tools.

I don't use the eco tools foundation brush anymore as I use the Real Technique buffing brush, but this one was really good. It gave a good distribution of foundation and covered my whole face evenly. It left it with a nice finish and no streaks.
Probably worst photo ever, have no idea why its so blurry, sorry!

I, stupidly, brought the domed bronzer brush to use as a powder brush, even though it's clearly a bronzer brush. However it does apply it alright.
It applies my powder evenly and doesn't make me cakey, but it's very densely packed so you cant just fan the powder on quickly and I feel like it rubs some foundation off whilst applying the powder. Yet it is extremely soft and does leave with an alright finish.
Due to the fact it's so densely packed, it does take a long time to dry, definitely over 10 hours, and the handle is quite heavy to hold. It has a flat bottom so you can stand it up and I can't even exaggerate to you how soft this brush is, heck, how soft all the Eco tools brushes are!
As a bronzer brush, it doesn't really give you defined cheekbones but it gives you a nice sort of shadow, but I prefer to use my RT contouring brush for bronzer, but I'm curious to know what you guys use for bronze and blush brushes? Let me know in the comments below!

Overall though, Eco Tools brushes are really good, but you cant really swap the uses of the brush like people do with the Real Technique ones. When I have money again I will definitely buy the powder brush and possibly some more.
They are around £5-£10 which is really good price considering they are such great quality and last ages.

Making this has really made me want to go and get some more brushes, but I have no money at the moment because, I'VE FINALLY GOT A CAMERA! I love it so much and also thanks guys so much for 99 followers...1 away!! Ahh I'm so excited and I love you all so much!:)x

Velvet Crop Top

2 March 2014

For Christmas I got a velvet crop top from American Apparel. Now I love this shop, but as most shops are that I love, it's really expensive. I have worn this top loads, and I'm surprised I've never shown you guys because I wear it so much! So I thought I'd show you my outfit from today, because why not?
Well actually I know why not, I never know how to take a proper picture of my outfit and I never include my shoes or bag but oh well. One day I will master the art of outfit posts, but today is not that day!

I love velvet, and even though this is a tight crop top, it is comfy and stretches/moves to match your body. It is quite short, but with high waisted jeans/skirts I think it looks really nice. Also I love velvet, I will just be standing there stroking my top then realise I'm doing it and probably looking like a freak so I stop, then carry on two seconds later. I just love it soo much.

Okay so I know these pictures aren't very good and I have no idea what was going on with the lighting, but this is the best I can give you at the moment! I wore it with a pair of Doc Martens (burgundy with a fur lining) which I got ages ago but probably still have and a bag I got from Urban Outfitters which was on the sale rack and only like £4! I was going to write more about it, then realised I have no picture of it, and I'm all snuggly in bed at the moment, but if I remember I'll do a post about it! And I'll have my new camera by then, ooooh so exciting!

But anyway back to the post, I wore it with my Doc Martens and mom jeans to give it a more casual look, and a long necklace. But you can easily classy it up and it goes really well with high wasited skirts. Saying that though, I don't really have many skirts...I need to fix that!

Also, thank you for 90 followers...so close to 100!
